RIA "News": Fano is supposed to abolish

The Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations is supposed to be abolished. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to an unnamed source in the Federal Assembly.

The interlocutor of RIA Novosti also confirmed that in the new government of Dmitry Medvedev, the Ministry of Education and Science will be divided into two ministries - respectively, education and science. To the Ministry of Medical Sciences and should go to Fano's functions, he said.

Fano was formed in 2013 during the reform of the academies of science. Several academies were combined into one Russian Academy of Sciences, and the scientific institutions that subordinated to them were transferred to the management of the agency. The reform was carried out on the initiative of the government.
