Builders protesting against non-payment of wages were detained in Moscow

In Moscow, police officers detained builders Sharipov and Kiyomov, who oppose non-payment of wages at an enterprise in Klimovsk, a microdistrict of the Podolsk city district in the Moscow region. This was reported to OVD-Info by journalist Alexander Zimbovsky.

The police did not explain the reason for the arrest.

Striking builders demand from the Megapolis company payment of wages for three months. The management of Megapolis, however, stated that it was not the company that owed the workers money, but they owed it to them - for living in trailers at the construction site and using electricity.

UPD On May 14, the Police detained another worker, foreman Mikhail Boev. He is located in the Donskoye Department of Internal Affairs.

According to Zimbovsky, on the morning of May 14, at the police station, he was told about the builders detained yesterday, that they were taken to the FMS department. In the department of the FMS, Zimbovsky was told that no one was brought to them.

The two spent the night at the police station. Thus, three of the six workers who went to the labor inspectorate were prosecuted.

• On the night of May 14, the police detained one of the strikers, Saidali Makhmatov, on the construction site, where disgruntled workers had been staying for several weeks. Makhmatov was released from the department without a protocol. The reason for the detention was the statement of the company's management that someone had tied up their security guard.
• Similar detentions took place in the same territory on 24 April. At that time, the police detained four people. After a series of calls, including from the Russian Trade Union of Workers and Students and members of the press, they were released without protocol.
