The police detained one of the builders opposing the non-payment of wages in Klimovsk, a microdistrict of the city district of Podolsk in the Moscow region. This was reported to the OVD-Info hotline by journalist Alexander Zimbovsky.
Saidali Makhmatov was detained on the construction site, where builders have been staying for several weeks, dissatisfied with the non-payment of salaries by the Megapolis company. The detainee, according to Zimbowski, was taken to the local police department. In response to calls, employees say that Makhmatov was detained in connection with the commission of a certain crime. They refuse to give details.
Similar detentions took place in the same area on 24 April. That time, according to Zimbovsky, the police detained four people. After a series of calls, including from the Russian Trade Union of Workers and Students and representatives of the press, they were released without being charged with anything.
According to Zimbovsky, the Megapolis company, which did not pay wages to builders working on the territory where, according to the plan, the Estet housing complex should appear, demanded that the builders leave the construction site. The protesters refused.
UPD At night, the builder was released from the department without a protocol. As Alexander Zimbovsky told OVD-Info, the reason for the detention was a statement by the company's management that someone had tied up their security guard.
