Kudrin agreed to head the Accounts Chamber

Former Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Kudrin accepted the proposal of United Russia to become the chairman of the Accounts Chamber. This is reported by Interfax.

On Monday, the State Duma is a meeting of Kudrin and members of the Presidium of the YP faction. The speaker of the lower house Vyacheslav Volodin takes part in it.

On Tuesday evening, a collection of the entire faction of unicorns with the participation of Kudrin is planned. As expected, an official statement on the nomination of the former deputy prime minister will be made on it.

The proposal of "United Russia" Kudrin became known on May 10. The former federal official, who was not named by name, in the commentary “Vedomosti” then noted: “Kudrin repeatedly said that he would not be engaged in cosmetic reforms. Therefore, there was an option with the Accounts Chamber to wait for a favorable moment in this position, for several years“ polling ”a new configuration of power, and in particular the new government.”

Kudrin resigned from the posts of Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance in the fall of 2011. Now he heads the advice of a non -governmental structure - the Center for Strategic Development. Nevertheless, the official does not stop cooperation with the authorities. In April 2016, he became the deputy chairman of the Economic Council under the President . In February of this year, it was reported that Kudrin participated in the preparation of the new May Decree Putin .

Now the Accounts Chamber is headed by Tatyana Golikova. In the near future, it is expected to transfer to the government to the post of deputy prime minister on social issues.
