The United States today officially transferred its embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Finance Stephen Mnuchin and the daughter of the President of the United States Ivanka Trump, as well as the majority of senior Israeli politicians, led by the country's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

In connection with the transfer of the embassy in the gas sector, riots began: several tens of thousands of Palestinians went to the fence separating the territory from Israel, and entered into clashes with the military, which used tear gas and weapons. As a result of the riots, more than 40 people died, more than 700 were injured.
