Coordinators of Navalny's headquarters and the Citizen Observer project are being persecuted by Center "E"

Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism in Tula are interviewing relatives and neighbors of Citizen Observer project coordinator Anton Gubarev and head of Aleksey Navalny's headquarters Dmitry Nikolaev. This was reported by Gubarev to OVD-Info.

In addition, employees of the Center “E” follow the activists and visit them at their places of registration. According to Gubarev, the police find out with whom the activists communicate, what they do and where they officially work. At the same time, no cases have been opened against them, and Gubarev has a certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs stating that no operational-search measures are being taken against him.

“My mother is a disabled person of the second group, they came to her more than once. They came to my grandmother, interviewed the neighbors,” the activist said.

Gubarev considers the actions of the employees of the Center "E" psychological pressure associated with the fact that he covered the agreed-upon action "He is not our king." Gubarev connects persecution against Nikolaev with his activities at Navalny's headquarters.

The activists filed appeals with the prosecutor's office, the internal security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and are also going to appeal to the Commissioner for Human Rights.

Nikolaev and Gubarev were detained on May 9 at the Immortal Regiment demonstration under the pretext of checking documents. They were released after the end of the action.
