The militants of the Islamic State left positions at the camp of Palestinian refugees Yarmuk in Damascus. It was the last zone near the Syrian capital, which was controlled by the rebels, Reuters reports citing the Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center (SOHR).

The authorities arranged an organized evacuation of militants and members of their families: on Sunday, they were taken out by buses to Badia - a sparsely populated region east of Damascus.

According to a source in the Syrian army, government troops did not conclude any agreements on evacuation with IS militants.

Now the forces of the dictator Bashar al -Assad control the entire West of Syria. The regions of the territory near the borders with Turkey, Iraq and Jordan remain not under the control of the government.

The last relatively large territory near Damascus, which was held by the rebels - Oasis of East Guta - was taken under the control of Assad’s troops in mid -April .
