The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov doubted that the Islamic State*, which took responsibility for the attack on the temple in Grozny, is really involved in this attack. In his opinion, this information is designed to give up suspicion from these crime organizers.

The head of Chechnya also added that "translating arrows into IG*" means "take the investigation away from real patrons." Earlier, he argued that the militants received the order from one of the Western countries.

Recall that the IG* took responsibility for the attack was announced the day before by the research organization SITE Intelligence Group, which conducts the monitoring of the activities of terrorists. The “Caucasian branch of the Islamic State”* called its merit an attack on the church of the Archangel Michael in the capital of Chechnya Terrible, ”the report said. Earlier, the Caucasian Knot reported with reference to a source in the power structures of Chechnya that three Chechens and one Ingush made an attack on the church. The interlocutor of the publication also called the names and age of the militants. According to him, the natives of Chechnya Amir Yunusov (18 years old), Ali Yunusov (18 years old) and Mikail Elisultanov (19 years old), as well as a resident of Ingushetia Ahmed Tsichoev (18 years) carried out the attack. The Yunusovs were their own brothers.

On Saturday, May 19, four militants attacked the temple of the Archangel Mikhail in Grozny during a worship. The attackers intended to take the parishioners hostage, but the believers who were in the church managed to quickly block the building.

As a result of the attack, two employees of the Saratov GUMVD, who guarded the temple, and one parishioner - a native of Uzbekistan who came to Chechnya to look for relatives. The militants were destroyed during the special operation. They found knives and a smoothbore gun. On the fact of what happened, a criminal case was opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Acting for the life of an employee of a law enforcement agency") and Article 105 ("Murder").
