In Cheboksary, a report was drawn up against a Navalny supporter

Navalny's supporter from Cheboksary, Marina Polytova, was detained today at the politician's regional headquarters and taken to the police department, where a report was drawn up against her under Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to a lawful demand of a police officer). Headquarters coordinator Semyon Kochkin reported this on his Twitter.

Politova was the complainant of the “He is not our king” protest on May 5th. The Cheboksary authorities did not approve the rally in the place where the activists planned to hold it, and suggested an alternative site. Navalny’s supporters decided to hold the event in the planned location. According to the police, during the event they asked Polytova to stop the uncoordinated action, but he did not agree, thereby violating the Administrative Code.

The number of detainees in connection with the “He is not our king” protest on May 5 across the country turned out to be comparable to the number of detainees at the protest on March 26, 2017.
