“Navalny LIVE” presenter Ruslan Shaveddinov was arrested for 30 days

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested Ruslan Shaveddinov, former press secretary of Navalny's campaign and host of Navalny LIVE, for 30 days. He tweeted about it.

Shaveddinov was charged with repeated violation of the procedure for holding the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court considered that the retweet that the Cactus program and the broadcasts from the rally against the blocking of Telegram were the organization of the action on May 5.

Shaveddinov made these retweets on April 24 and 30, Baulina reports. At that time it was not yet known about the refusal to coordinate the rally. The applicant for the action, Lyubov Sobol , wrote on Twitter that she received a notification of refusal only on May 10.

Ruslan Shaveddinov was detained in the morning at his house, his phone was confiscated. Then he was taken to the police station. When Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh arrived there, she was also detained.

• On May 22, the Tverskoy District Court arrested Sergei Boyko, former coordinator of the Moscow headquarters, for 30 days on a similar charge. The court considered that Boyko's tweet with the text “You asked for events - get it. May 5 we leave! and a link to Navalny's website with information about the action - this is the organization of a mass event.
