The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested the coordinator of Navalny's Novosibirsk headquarters, Sergei Boyko, for 30 days under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code (repeated violation of the procedure for holding a public event). He wrote about this on his Twitter.
Boyko was detained yesterday in Moscow and taken to the Tverskoy district police department, where an administrative violation report was drawn up against him.
According to Mediazona, the police considered a violation of Boyko’s tweet with the text “If you asked for events, you get them. We leave on May 5th!” and a link to Alexei Navalny’s website with information about the May 5 action. Allegedly, this is how the activist organized the “He is not our king” action in Moscow.
According to lawyers of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Boyko could not be the organizer of a specific action from the point of view of the law, because there is no specific location and time in his tweet.
