The daughter of former GRU agent Sergei Skripal, Yulia, who was poisoned with him in British Salisbury, gave the first interview after the incident.
Yulia Skripal spoke to a Reuters correspondent and said she wanted to return to Russia "in the long term" despite the poisoning.
“We are so lucky that both survived this assassination attempt. Our recovery has been slow and extremely painful,” she said.
Skripal said she would take care of her father until he fully recovered, and then hoped to return home.
Yulia Skripal is in a safe place in London, reports Reuters. She contacted the agency herself with the help of the police. The interview was given remotely.
The Skripals were poisoned in early March. London believes that Moscow is behind this, while Russia denies the accusations. Yulia Skripal was released from the hospital in April and her father in May.
