The court arrested the press secretary of Alexei Navalny, Kira Yarmysh, for 25 days for tweeting about the “He is not our tsar” action.
“25 days is nonsense when you know that you are right and the support of so many people is with you. Everyone is happy to stay, see you at the appeal, ”wrote Yarmysh in the microblog after the announcement of the court decision.
“Kira Yarmysh also ‘organized an uncoordinated rally on May 5’ by retweeting Navalny’s post on April 12, when there was not even a question of approval,” Leonid Volkov commented on the court’s decision.
On May 22, she was detained for violating the established procedure for organizing a rally on May 5 in the center of Moscow. Her colleague Ruslan Shaveddinov was arrested by the court for 30 days the day before. The leader of the movement, Alexei Navalny, is also serving a month-long arrest. Today the Moscow City Court refused to satisfy his appeals.
