The emigrant said that he was counting on help in obtaining a refugee status by other Russian political emigrants living in Britain - Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Ahmed Zakev and Evgeny Chichvarkin.

Kashapov added that after obtaining a refugee status, he is going to continue political activities from abroad and "help the Turkic-speaking and Finno-Ugric peoples." He intends to "meet with representatives of the Volga and the Urals" and "to go to the USA, Canada, Turkey, Germany, France, Poland and Bulgaria to meet with Diaspass representatives."
