The court in Chechnya arrested Adam Titiev for two months, nephew of the head of the republican branch of the Memorial Oyub Titiev. Cases of drug storage are fabricated against the human rights activist and his nephew.

According to the relatives of the arrested, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, a friend of Adam Titiev named Murad, who was under a conditional term for drug storage, invited him to go to visit the living, while he convinced Titiev to take a taxi instead of his personal car. When they were going to leave a friend, Murad again asked Titiev to call a taxi, although he was going to ask his son to pick them up. At the exit of the house, both were detained by police.

Based on the time of detention, the court could have taken place no later than Friday, according to the Code of Criminal Procedure, you can detain for up to 72 hours.

According to the plot of the case, 120 grams of marijuana was seized from Adam Titiev during a personal inspection - this is a large size. From this it follows that Adam Titiev, like his uncle, was charged with part 2 of article 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal storage of drugs in large scale), which provides for 3 to 10 years of the colony. The 60-year-old Oyub Titiev was detained on January 9 in Kurchaloy. The operatives of the district Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mandzhikov and Magomads, when inspecting the Titieva car, threw 207.84 grams of marijuana into it and detained a human rights activist.
