Sovremennik Theater actor Yuri Rashkin has died

In Moscow, the actor of the Sovremennik theater, director and screenwriter Yuri Rashkin died. He was 73 years old.

“Yesterday (May 28) a person dear to our theater, Yuri Leonidovich Rashkin, passed away. A man with a tender heart and a keen sense of beauty,” Sovremennik reported on Facebook.

Yuri Rashkin worked at the Sovremennik Theater from 1967 to 1973. He played in such performances as "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Night Story", "Decembrists", "People's Volunteers" and others. Later he worked at the St. Petersburg Comedy Theatre.

Rashkin was engaged in television documentaries and worked as a screenwriter and director. His last work was dedicated to the theater artist Sergei Barkhin. It aired on the TV channel "Culture".
