The authorities of the Medvezhyegorsk district of Karelia refused to approve the picket planned for June 4 in the city park, under the pretext that the park had not been treated for ticks. This was reported in the group “Medvezhyegorsk: a team of residents. Reboot" on VKontakte.
The administration's response says that, "acting in the interests of the life and health of the population," it does not find an opportunity to coordinate the event.
The announced theme of the picket is a protest against “ill-conceived optimization of educational institutions and personnel policy of the head of the administration of the Medvezhyegorsk district, Yalyaev S.V. and dismissal of the director of the Medvezhyegorsk DT Mokretsova S.P.
Earlier, the authorities refused to agree on a picket near the House of Creativity, pointing out that the declared territory did not have a safety passport.
On April 21, the administration of the Tominsky rural settlement in the Chelyabinsk region refused to allow local environmental activists to hold a picket against the construction of a mining and processing plant. The official reason for the refusal was called anti-tick treatment of the territory.
