On May 28, Zimovets declared an indefinite hunger strike in support of the convicted Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov.

“I, the Zimovets SS, voluntarily declare a hunger strike in support of Oleg Gennadievich Sentsov on 13.07.1976 and his requirements to free 64 citizens of Ukraine held in the Russian Federation. I also demand to free Oleg Sentsov, ”the convict wrote in a statement.
