The court ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to pay 500 rubles to an activist of Navalny’s headquarters in Chelyabinsk

The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to pay 500 rubles as compensation for an illegal attempt to bring to administrative responsibility the head of Navalny's headquarters, Alexei Tabalov. This was reported by the International Human Rights Group "Agora".

“On July 14, 2017, three provocateurs went to the administration of Chelyabinsk with a banner allegedly for Navalny. They came there from an environmental rally, where they also tried to prevent it from taking place. The police stopped their action, and after the arrest they stated that they were allegedly organized by Aleksey Tabalov. Of course, it was a provocation. These young people have been spotted by activists more than once at various environmental actions of STOP GOK. Then the court listened to the witnesses, agreed with our arguments and dismissed the case,” said Agora’s lawyer Alexei Lepekhin.
