Two participants in single pickets were detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, police detained two participants in single pickets. This was reported by one of the detainees, Vladimir Ivanyutenko.

OVD-InfoMuzhchina said that he stood with a single picket in support of director Oleg Sentsov, who on May 19 declared an open-ended hunger strike demanding the release of 64 Ukrainian political prisoners convicted in Russia.

According to Ivanyutenko, the police detained him because the picketer did not have registration.

UPD June 2 12:59 OVD-InfoAccording to Mironov, a report was drawn up against Osipova under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code (violation of the procedure for holding a public event). Timur Bulatov, a provocateur associated with the Center for External Action, arrived at the police department. He said that he would be a witness in Osipova’s administrative case. Bulatov called one of the policemen on his mobile phone and was allowed into the department.

Ivanyutenko was released without a protocol. The detainees were kept in police custody for more than three hours. Osipova was released ten minutes after Mironov filed a complaint against the head of the police department.
