Safargali wrote that on May 22 his detachment was taken to a bathhouse. At the entrance, a colony employee said that the entire detachment must enter the bathhouse at the same time. Then the prisoners asked why they would not enter the bathhouse in batches and leave every 30 minutes, as before. To this, the security inspector replied that “those who do not go to the bathhouse right away will sleep dirty, and this phrase was said by the inspector in a rude, boorish and degrading manner,” Safargali said.

“I tried to explain to the inspector that there was no hot water in the bathhouse and it was cold there, that it would be uncomfortable and harmful for people to stay in the bathhouse for a long time. At the same time, I spoke to him calmly and did not allow the employee to be addressed as “you”,” the man clarified in his explanation. The head of Altyn Urda wrote that the inspector was annoyed by his explanations.

According to Safargali, the employee said that they “are all convicts here who do not have their rights.” The security inspector then took him “to the first checkpoint.”

“From excitement due to the unlawful demand of the FSIN employee, I developed a sharp involuntary urge to cough, and I also felt bad due to a viral disease,” Safargali wrote. Then, according to him, the employee deliberately “jabbed him in the chest area.” From the blow, Safargali writes, he experienced severe pain and staggered back.

Danis Safargali believes that the security inspector initiated the collection of material on him in order to hide his illegal actions. The man asked to check the actions of the FSIN employee.

Because of this incident, Safargali was put in a punishment cell and he went on a hunger strike.

The wife of the head of Altyn Urda, Guzel Safargali, said that she received a call from the colony and was informed that Danis had been taken to the Kirov pre-trial detention center. From there he will be sent to a therapeutic correctional colony. Guzel Safargali does not know what caused the transfer.

Safargali is accused under articles of hooliganism, causing minor bodily harm and battery for a fight during which one of the opponents kicked Safargali’s pregnant wife in the stomach.
