Mestetsky went out on a one-man picket in support of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The detainee was taken to the Tverskoy district police department.

On May 14, Sentsov went on a hunger strike demanding the release of Russian political prisoners whose criminal cases are related to the events in Ukraine in 2014, the annexation of Crimea, the war in Donbass and the Maidan in Kiev.
