A hunger strike as the last way of struggle for his rights is no longer surprising anyone. In our life, the political hunger strike has become commonplace. But in the case of Sentsov, even those who are confident in the legality of the pursuit of the director from the Russian court have no doubt: he does it seriously and is really ready to die.

In the cruelty that Russia shows to Sentsov and other Ukrainian political prisoners, there is no pragmatic meaning. Nadezhda Savchenko, which propaganda for months called a military criminal, back in 2016 was pardoned and exchanged for Russian citizens - and the sky did not fall to earth.

We expect that it will not fall again, political will will be found, and citizens of Ukraine will be transferred to their homeland - in response to a similar gesture from the Kyiv authorities.
