Over six years of operation, 198 million rubles were collected for charitable projects through the crowdfunding platform Planeta.ru.
Supporting non-profit initiatives is one of the most important areas of the platform’s activities, Planet noted on the day of Russian crowdfunding. Such projects have been launched since the year the platform was founded.
During the first year of work, about 411 thousand rubles were collected for charitable purposes. Today, the total amount raised by charitable projects on Planet is 198 million rubles: since 2012, the amount of fees has increased almost 481 times.
In the section for charitable projects on Planeta.ru, users can select campaigns not only by areas of assistance (children, adults, elderly, animals and ecology), but also by the geography of the initiative - in a specific region or city.
Traditionally, the most popular category is helping children, and the leader in fundraising for the second year is the Nika animal relief fund: in total, they managed to attract a record 15 million rubles for Russian crowdfunding for the construction of the Wet Nose center.
Increasingly, people are donating through the platform to help older people. For example, we arranged for the delivery of a jar of honey, figurines of angels, or postcards with wishes for lonely wards of the “Old Age in Joy” foundation.
Donations on the platform can be made in exchange for rewards and bonuses from partners and fund trustees. Examples include fairy tales read by actress Alisa Freindlikh, paintings by the famous artist Vasya Lozhkin, collectible paraphernalia from the legends of Russian rock (Yuri Shevchuk, Vyacheslav Butusov, Boris Grebenshchikov, Konstantin Kinchev) and even the opportunity to go to a concert of the Chaif group on a bus with the musicians themselves .
In June, all Planet visitors have the opportunity to take part in a competition in honor of the platform’s birthday: you can not only win a prize, but also help a social project increase its collection by 15 thousand rubles.
