American chef and TV presenter Anthony Bourdain has died at the age of 62. He committed suicide, writes CNN.
He was found dead by a close friend, chef Eric Ripert, in a French hotel room where Bourdain was working on the new season of his Parts Unknown program.
“His love of adventure, new friends, good food and memorable stories made him a unique storyteller. His talent never ceases to amaze us. <…> Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time,” he said.
Enotony Bourdain is known as a host and author of television shows about cooking and travel. His shows Kitchen Confidential and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservation won American Television Emmy Awards.
