Roskomnadzor unblocked 7 million IP addresses

The day after the “direct line”, in which the president called for a civilized way to resolve the situation with Telegram, Roskomnadzor unblocked more than 7 million IP addresses from previously blocked ones, according to the unloading from the register of banned sites, which is done by the CEO of the Diphost provider Philip Kulin .

• Unblocked 65% of the remaining blocked IP addresses. Now there are 3.7 million addresses on the black list.
• Major Amazon services subnets and the Online.net hosting subnet have been unblocked.
• Most of the blocked IP addresses remaining in the registry of banned sites are Amazon AWS (over 76%), DigitalOcean (13%), Microsoft (3.5%) cloud hosting.

Context

• Roskomnadzor began blocking IP addresses en masse after the Tagansky Court ruled on April 13 to block Telegram in Russia. By the end of April, the number of blocked addresses reached 18 million.
• Despite all the efforts of the regulator, the messenger is still available to a significant part of the audience in Russia.
• During the “straight line” on Thursday, the president said that in the case of Telegram, civilized ways should be sought to solve the problem.
