Details

• According to Bloomberg, Flyer is a single “human drone” with ten rotors. It is controlled by two controllers and filled with software for "stable flight and simple control." So far, Flyer can take off and sit only on the water, develops speed to 32 km/h and rises to a height of 3 meters.

• The company did not specify when the plane goes on sale and how much it will cost. Probably, it will initially be available at Luxury resorts as an attraction-something like a water jetpack .
• The Flyer is one of the two key areas of Kitty Hawk. The startup also develops a double aircraft Cora, which takes off and lands vertically. It is also positioned as an alternative vehicle in megacities. The company demonstrated its tests in March.

Context

Startup Larry Page has many competitors. Only in early May, Uber presented the concept of his flying taxi during the Uber Elevate Summit conference. Its aircraft are also similar to large drones with four screws, they should appear on the market for two to five years.
