The Tatarstan court returned to the police the case of a student who picketed in support of Sentsov

The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan returned to the police the case of student Kamil Gataullin, who on June 1 stood in a solo picket in support of the starving Oleg Sentsov. A copy of the court ruling is at the disposal of OVD-Info.

Gataullin was charged under Part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by the organizer of a public event). Idel. Realii” specify that the police drew up a report on June 12: they wrote in the document that the young man was picketing at an unspecified place.

At the meeting, the judge drew attention to the fact that in the administrative case of Gataullin there are no documents containing evidence of the student's guilt. The court returned the case to the police to eliminate violations.

During the rally on June 1, the police approached the activist several times and tried to prove that holding a one-man picket was illegal, but they did not detain him.
