45 years ago, on June 14, 1973, in the Sea of ​​Japan, a project 675 nuclear missile submarine of the Pacific Fleet K-56 of project 675 collided with the Akademik Berg research vessel. As a result, 27 submariners were killed. The cause of the disaster was the shutdown of the radio navigation equipment on the submarine in foggy conditions.
