In Tatarstan, in the village of Osinovo, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism detained environmental activist Dmitry Yegorov, who opposes the construction of a waste incineration plant. It is reported by "Idel. Realii” with reference to Elsa Nisanbekova, lawyer of the Human Rights project.
Egorov arrived in Osinovo to sign up for public hearings on the project to build a waste incineration plant. At the exit from the House of Culture, he was stopped by employees of the Center "E" and taken to the department.
- They want to build a waste incineration plant in the village of Osinovo in the Zelenodolsk region of Tatarstan. The land on which the plant is going to be built already belongs to the construction investor, a subsidiary of the Rostec Corporation, RT-Invest.
- Local residents and environmental activists are protesting against the construction of the plant. They hold rallies and pickets, after which several protesters were fined .
