
In Irkutsk, the police today detained two civil activists Sofu Bazhenov and Igor Martynenko. This publication "Siberia. Realia" was announced by human rights activist Svyatoslav Khromenkov, who had already arrived at the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Employees of the department refused to let the defender and legal representative, and according to the lawyer, police officers conduct an illegal inspection.
According to the interlocutor, the reason for the detention was the holding on May 1 in Irkutsk Monestation. The police considered the Pervomaisky youth procession an inconsistent rally. Bazhenov and Martynenko were also accused of evading the drawing up of the protocols, and after the activists refused to go to the department, they were dragged into the car by force. Everything happened at the bus station after the teenagers returned from the rest.
Earlier, activists reported the first in the history of the city of Monstration. More than 40 people gathered for it. As Sofya Bazhenova said to the correspondent, the organizers of the action tried to coordinate the event with the mayor, but they allocated a site on the outskirts. Before the event, the organizers sent five notifications - to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Governor, to the prosecutor, mayor and the Commissioner for Human Rights.
