Omsk: The teacher who starred in a swimsuit wants "oblivion"

The teacher of history from Omsk Victoria Popova, whose photos in the swimsuit appeared on the Internet, took advantage of the “right to oblivion” and demanded to withdraw their images, citing that their permission was required for their publication.

The requirements to seize all the information about her Popova sent the editorial office of the portal OM1.ru. “I declare that the publication and further use of the image of a citizen (in particular me), including my photos, as well as videos or works of fine art in which a citizen is depicted, is allowed only with the consent of this citizen,” Victoria wrote.

26-year-old Victoria Popova in her free time from the main job studied at a model school, where she was photographed in a swimsuit. The teacher said that she did not publish these pictures on social networks. The photo was published by the model school for the purpose of advertising. These Popova’s pictures had to quit school, but the next day she met with the Minister of Education of the region Tatyana Dernova and the leadership of the school, as a result, the teacher offered to return to school or go to another.

On June 12, Russian teachers launched an Internet flash mob in support of a history teacher from Omsk Victoria Popova, dismissed because of the photo in a swimsuit. As a sign of solidarity, her colleagues post their pictures in underwear, in swimsuits, robes with a hashtag #teacher. Users publish pictures on social networks "VKontakte" and Instagram.
