Detained Irkutsk anarchists were released

Detained on June 14, Irkutsk anarchists Sofya Bazhenova and Igor Martynenko were released. This was reported on June 15 in the telegram channel "Anarchist Irkutsk".

Protocol under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful order of a representative of the authorities), drawn up against Bazhenova, was returned by the Oktyabrsky District Court to the police due to errors made in the preparation. According to the police, on Monday another report will be drawn up against the activist - already under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event).

The report on Martynenko was sent under jurisdiction to the Kirovsky District Court of Irkutsk, since the area where the offense was committed was indicated incorrectly. The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday.

Bazhenova and Martynenko were detained at the bus station when they arrived after their vacation. The police said that the activists were avoiding filing protocols for holding an unapproved rally on May 1, and asked the young people to go with them. The activists refused, and the police forced them into the car. After the detainees were taken to police station No. 5.

According to Bazhenova, on May 1, she and other activists held a happening "Mem, Labor - May Day", having previously notified the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office, the mayor, the governor and the commissioner for human rights in Irkutsk.

According to the encyclopedia “Culturology. XX century”, happening is a theatrical momentary action on an improvisational basis with the active participation of the audience, aimed at blurring the boundaries between art and life.
