US President Donald Trump ordered the creation of space troops in the American army. It is reported by Reuters.

"America is not enough to be present in space - we must dominate there," the presidential agency reports.

Space forces will become separate from aviation by troops. “We will have military-air forces, and we will have military space forces,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, the agency notes, the United States are a party to the Cosmos agreement concluded in 1967. This document prohibits the placement of mass destruction in space, allowing the use of space space and celestial bodies only for peaceful purposes.

In Russia, which is also a party to the Cosmos Treaty, the Aerospace Forces were created back in 2015. At the same time, unlike the United States, in Russia, the Air Force became part of these forces , thus lost the status of a certain kind of troops.
