The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Sergei Ryzhov, coordinator of the Free People party, for two months. His mother Larisa Ryzhova wrote about this on Facebook.
The last court hearingwas closed so that the secret of the investigation would not be disclosed. According to Sidorkina, there are no grounds for this in accordance with Part 2 of Article 241 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, although the investigation refers to this norm, and the judge grants the petition every time.
“The most cynical aspect of the situation is not even that,” said Sidorkina, “that they illegally make decisions on detention and extension of arrest, but that they still have the audacity in court not to examine the materials attached to the petition. But at the same time, the court decision refers to these materials. Procedurally, this is a gross violation.
According to Sidorkina, Ryzhov does not admit his guilt and states that the TNT blocks and pistol found by the police were planted on him, and he is being subjected to criminal prosecution due to political activity in Saratov.
