Christopher Isherwood (1901–1986) is a famous American writer. We know not so much his texts as the films created based on his writings. First of all, this is “Cabaret” (“Cabaret”, 1972), as well as “A Single man” (“A Single man”, 2009). Of course, I saw Cabaret; As for “A Single man,” it’s my favorite movie—I’ve seen it four times and always feel like I’m missing something. At the same time, I almost never read Isherwood’s texts...
