The former governor of the Sakhalin Region Alexander Khoroshavin, convicted of 13 years of imprisonment for corruption, was accused of receiving another 20 bribes. In February 2018, the South Sakhalin court sentenced the former governor of the region to 13 years in prison for receiving bribes. He must also pay a fine of 500 million rubles.
