Lawyer: Sentsov will not ask for pardon
Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who has been on a hunger strike for 40 days in a colony, will not ask the Russian president for pardon. This was reported by his lawyer Dmitry Dinze to Interfax.
“Oleg is against pardon. He will not write anything to the president,” Dinze told the agency.
- Russian President Vladimir Putin was repeatedly asked to pardon Oleg Sentsov, but he refused. His press secretary stated that in order to be pardoned, the prisoner himself must write a petition addressed to the president.
