A picketer with a poster in support of those involved in the “New Greatness” case was detained in Moscow.

In Moscow, Andrei Kiselyov was detained, who stood in a single picket demanding the release of those involved in the “New Greatness” case . Journalists Denis Styazhkin and Nikolai Glukhin were detained along with him, but were later released. Styazhkin wrote about this on his Twitter.

The journalist wrote that they were detained when they left the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova. Styazhkin and Glukhin went there to write an appeal in defense of those involved in the “New Greatness” case. At this time, Kiselev stood at the door in a single picket. Then the police arrived at the office.

The detainees were taken to the police department in the Krasnoselsky district. According to Styazhkin, the policeman said that they “received orders from above to detain even journalists at pickets.” After this, the journalists were released from the department, and a report will be drawn up against Kiselyov for holding a single picket.

UPD 19:11 Andrei Kiselev told OVD-Info that a report was drawn up against him under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event) and was released from the department.

• In the case of New Greatness, an organization created, judging by the case materials, by infiltrated employees, there are ten defendants. Six of them are in pre-trial detention center, four are under house arrest.
• All ten people are accused of organizing the activities of an extremist community (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). Moreover, the accusation is based on the testimony of three men who were not arrested. One of them said that he was introduced into the group on assignment. The interrogation protocols of these people were almost completely removed from the case materials. One of the three wrote the organization's charter, collected money, and rented meeting rooms. None of the three were arrested.
• One of the defendants in the case, Anna Pavlikova, was 17 years old at the time of her arrest. Law enforcement officers threatened her with violence.
• Ruslan Kostylenkov, whom investigators call the leader of the “New Greatness” organization, told POC member Evgeniy Enikeev that he was beaten during a search. His lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina also reported to OVD-Info about Kostylenkov’s beating.
