The head of the council of deputies of the Krasnoselsky district, oppositionist Ilya Yashin admitted that he would not be able to register as a candidate for mayor of Moscow. about this He wrote on his Facebook.
According to Yashin, he could not pass the municipal filter. The politician enlisted the support of 91 municipal deputies, including non-partisans, members of Yabloko, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and Just Russia. At the same time, representatives of United Russia refused to put signatures for the oppositionist. He stated that the party has "a direct ban from the authorities, who firmly decided not to let me through the filter."
Yashin abandoned the idea of a boycott of the elections and called for support for any candidate from the democratic opposition, if one of such candidates can achieve registration in the elections.
I have to confirm: I do not have the opportunity to become a candidate in these elections.
