This kind of mockery, teasing, and veiled threats are constant,” said the prisoner’s wife.

Denis Safargali was issued 10 offenses, Guzel Safargali reported. For example, for the fact that he allegedly repeatedly does not greet the colony staff and litters the bed. “The acts are written in order to lock him up in the SUS - strict conditions of detention - there he will be limited in visits and transfers,” the activist’s wife believes.

She noted that he has been held in medical correctional colony No. 12 since June 5. Before the prisoner was transferred to a medical facility, he was “kept in a solitary, cold, damp cell, where he sleeps and wears winter clothes,” says Guzel Safargali. According to her, he was taken for a walk to the same solitary confinement. The woman is sure that the activist is being deliberately isolated from everyone. During the last visit, Guzel Safargali gave her husband the medicine for claustrophobia that he had taken before.

After this incident, he was sent to a punishment cell, where the convict began a hunger strike . Soon he was transferred to LIU-12, a medical correctional colony, where he is still located. He was found guilty on three counts: inciting hatred and enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code), hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code), causing minor harm to health (Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code) and battery (Article 116 of the Criminal Code). The first accusation was based on 15 publications on the social network VKontakte, among which was a video “Racist pseudo-spirituality of the Russian Orthodox Church.” Under the remaining three articles, the head of Altyn Urda is accused of a fight during which one of the opponents kicked Safargali’s pregnant wife in the stomach.
