Prokhorov’s claim to Navalny is satisfied

Judge of the Lublinsky District Court of Moscow Marina Vasina satisfied the lawsuit about the protection of honor and dignity filed by the oligarch Mikhail Prokhorov to the opposition Alexei Navalny. This is reported by Interfax.

The filing of the claim became known on May 21 . The reason was the publication on April 26 on the blog of the oppositionist of the investigation of the Corruption Fund, and on YouTube - a video for this investigation. The publication analyzed the transaction in 2017, during which Prokhorov acquired the villa of the then Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin in Italy. The price of the contract amounted to 35.5 million euros - this is several times more expensive than the market price.

FBK regarded the purchase by Prokhorov Villa as a disguised bribe. "Khloponin oversees subsoil use, and Prokhorov’s interests are associated with this area," the publication noted.

Later, on May 18, a fragment of the contract was placed on the Navalny blog, on the basis of which Khloponin himself acquired the villa. He paid only 11 million euros for the object.

Judge Vasina ordered the opposition to delete the text from the blog and video from YouTube within 10 days and place a refutation of the conclusions of the investigation. She also recovered from Navalny 1 ruble of compensation for non -pecuniary damage - it was on this amount that Prokhorov insisted.
