The defenders of the Pulkovo Observatory were detained in St. Petersburg

The police in St. Petersburg detained opponents of the development of the security zone of the Pulkovo Observatory Anastasia Pluto and Mikhail Druzhininsky. This was reported in the group "Save the Pulkovo Observatory" on VKontakte.

Activists were detained at the building of the presidential reception. They tried to apply to the president. The reason for the detention was also a poster that the termination of observations of GAO RAS was “a blow to national security and damage to domestic science”.

At the pluto, they made a protocol on the crossing of the road in the wrong place (Articles 12.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and released. Druzhininsky was released later with the protocol under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event).
