After the annexation of Crimea, Odintsov managed to obtain Russian citizenship, swear allegiance to Russia, and then, together with his colleague, Alexander Baranov, went to resolve his household issues in mainland Ukraine. And he was detained in November 2016 next to the checkpoint "Chonggar". He did not admit his guilt in court, filed an appeal through a lawyer. The Russian authorities regarded the detention of Odintsov and Baranov as the abduction of military personnel, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case in this regard.

Moskalkova has not yet received a good court of appeal on a visit to Lukyanovsky pre -trial detention center. Sources say: when this happens and whether it will happen at all, it is incomprehensible. The Russian Ombudsman, like her Ukrainian colleague under the “white bear”, stood at the gates of the insulator and talked with the press. In particular, she complained that between Russia and Ukraine, the issue of people's rights with an “indefinite status” has not yet been adjusted by normative acts: “Then the consuls would be allowed to these people.” Ukrainian consul - to double citizens in Russia, and vice versa.

For example, the Russian authorities call the Crimean Sentsov a citizen of Russia, although Oleg himself said in court: “I do not recognize military annexation, I am not serf, I can’t transfer me with the land!”, And the European Court of Human Rights, the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice says, Sentsov considers Sentsov as a citizen of Ukraine. The soldier Maxim Odintsov, according to Ukrainian law, also remained a citizen of Ukraine, although he received a Russian passport - did not fulfill the due procedure for termination of citizenship. A similar story is with Kirill Vyshinsky from RIA Novosti (he is now in the Kherson pre -trial detention center). I’ll clarify: the Constitution of Ukraine does not allow Ukrainians to have double citizenship.

Tatyana Moskalkova, diplomatically, answered the question of whether she has a petition from Lyudmila Denisova to visit Lukyanovka: “I have no clear permission, but I really hope that the humanitarian component, a step of trust will make it possible to move forward.” It soon became clear: on Tuesday, June 26, the “step of trust” will definitely not be made. “I am sorry,” the Russian Ombudsman summed up, “that I was not allowed to meet Odintsov. I will return to Moscow, because it is necessary to come when there is a decision and hope for positive steps. Moskalkova did not answer the question of whether she means her in Kyiv to Odintsov that Denisova will now not be able to see Roman Suschenko in Lefortovo in Moscow. “I can only say that I am sorry. The Russian Consul was not allowed to Russian citizen Odintsov either, ”she said.
