The Moscow City Court left the head of the Serpukhov district Alexander Shestun under arrest

The Moscow City Court left the head of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region, Alexander Shestun, under arrest. This was reported from the courtroom by the correspondent of MBH-media.

Earlier, Shestun was arrested in the case of abuse of office with causing grave consequences (paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, in 2008-2014 Shestun illegally sold four plots of land in the village of Borisovo.

At the meeting, Shestun reported threats from FSB officer Ivan Tkachev and head of the presidential department for domestic policy Andrei Yarin. “If you go to the polls, we will imprison you; if you fight against landfills, we will imprison you,” Shestun conveyed the essence of the threats. Before that, he talked about threats from the governor of the Moscow region.

Shestun's defense filed an appeal against his arrest, since the crimes he was accused of, according to the lawyer, were not so serious as to keep him in a pre-trial detention center. The lawyer said that Shestun's detention was unlawful, and the decision to sell the land was made by his deputy.

The lawyer also drew the attention of the court to the poor health of his client - constant high blood pressure and a bad heart.

The defense asked the court to add to the case the personal guarantee of Khasan Khakimov, Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya and adviser to Ramzan Kadyrov.
