The leaders of the EU countries at the summit in Brussels approved a new migration agreement. The document is published on the website of the Council of the European Union.

The agreement provides for the strengthening of security on the external borders of the EU and the construction of new centers for receiving refugees. They are planned to be built both outside the European Union - in particular, in Turkey - and in the EU countries themselves "on a voluntary basis." As stated, the efforts to receive refugees will take over the more EU countries. The European Union will allocate 3 billion euros to Turkey to reception of refugees from Syria.

According to Reuters, initially the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte refused to sign the final document of the summit if other EU countries do not take responsibility for migrants in the Mediterranean. “Italy is more than one more,” Contain said after the adoption of a new agreement.

The new Italian government, consisting of EuroSrkeptics, opens against the reception of refugees. In mid -June, Rome refused to accept the Aquarius humanitarian ship with 629 refugees from Africa, and then two more ships with African migrants.
