Disney created a human-like arkbath robot (video)

Engineers from Walt Disney Imagineering have developed a humanoid robot capable of performing complex acrobatic jumps. Details about the robot, called Stuntronics, gives TechCrunch .

Stuntronics is the third generation of Disney robots, which can make tricks in flight after separation from the acceleration cable. First, engineers used a metal bar with an inertial block and a laser range finder for experiments, then they created a more complex robot consisting of three segments, and now moved to tests of the robot with legs and hands.

Judging by the demonstration video published on the Techcrunch YouTube channel, the Stuntronics robot accelerates with a cable, and then releases it and performs acrobatic figures in flight, after which it falls into a special net.

According to the creators of the robot, in the future its more advanced versions can find application as archers when performing dangerous tricks, as well as for entertainment purposes.

Note that other two -legged robots are already owned by acrobatic skills. So, last year, Boston Dynamics engineers taught the Atlas robot to make a sediment back.
