In Samara, a pensioner with cancer was detained during a single picket

In Samara, during a solo picket, the police detained a cancer patient, pensioner Vladimir Loginov, who was picketing the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Samara Region. It is reported by MBH Media.

In relation to Loginov, a protocol was drawn up under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding an event). He was detained by six police officers when he stood with posters near the building of the municipal polyclinic of the Samara region on Leningradskaya street.

During the arrest, the police referred to Presidential Decree No. 202, which restricts public events during the World Cup. Loginov told reporters that he was not given a copy of the protocol, saying that a cancer patient would be invited to the police to receive it.

The pensioner was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. “I went on a picket on the fortieth day after the death of Darya Starikova, a cancer patient from Apatity, who told Vladimir Putin about poor cancer prevention in Russia on the Direct Line with the President of the Russian Federation in 2017. Now I continue her work of fighting the authorities for decent cancer prevention in Russia, ”the publication quotes the words of Loginov.
