The Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the claim of Promsvyazbank, represented by former chairman of the board Dmitry Ananyev, against the Central Bank, Interfax reports. Prior to this, the arbitration court did not satisfy the claim against the regulator of the company controlled by the banker, Promsvyaz Capital B.V.

Promsvyazbank demanded that the Central Bank's order to create additional reserves of 104 billion rubles be invalidated. in December last year, due to which the bank's capital decreased, and the regulator was able to introduce its own temporary administration and sanitize the bank. The plaintiff insisted on invalidating the orders appointing a temporary administration and reducing the size of the bank's authorized capital to 1 ruble.

Ananyev's representatives told Interfax that they plan to appeal the court's decision.

At the previous meeting, the plaintiff’s representative insisted that Promsvyazbank’s capital had decreased as a result of the regulator’s order, since more than half of the 104 billion rubles. reserves were accrued incorrectly. A representative of Promsvyazbank also pointed out that the borrowers were assessed by the Central Bank in a lower quality category than that which was determined by the bank itself before the introduction of the temporary administration.

Ananyev's representatives also filed a petition asking the Constitutional Court to check the constitutionality of a number of provisions of the bankruptcy legislation, which allowed the Central Bank, on the basis of its own acts, to take ownership of Promsvyazbank .

Promsvyazbank transferred to the Banking Sector Consolidation Fund controlled by the Central Bank. On the basis of Promsvyazbank, the government plans to create a specialized bank for state defense orders and large government contracts.
