The new requirements from July 1 also concern the “organizers of the dissemination of information” (Ori) - messengers about social networks ” - the administration of these services should now store user correspondence over the past six months. On June 26, the government approved a decree on the deadline for storage for Ori.

According to Megafon CEO Sergey Soldatenkov, his company on June 1 began "large -scale use" of data storage equipment, but "not on the entire network." "We could not organize storage on the entire network from July 1. The system would be phased in different regions for five years and by the end of this period will be deployed throughout the country," Soldatenkov said.

Representatives of other telecom operators refused to disclose whether they are complying with data storage throughout the country or only in individual regions.
